Glo Ball Basic Zero Lamp
The Glo Ball Basic Zero Lamp has been created by Jasper Morrison for the brand Flos. Designed to glow brightly like a full moon, this dazzling table or desk lamp will add practical illumination to work setups or supplement main lighting in bedrooms and living rooms. It forms part of Morrison's Glo Ball series, which debuted in 1999 and has become one of the most popular creations from Italian label Flos.
The Glo Ball Basic Zero Lamp has a simple format, avoiding excessive decoration and focusing on crafting a beautiful ball of light. Morrison has sculpted a rounded diffuser using acid etched white opaline glass, which transmutes light from the interior bulb into a pure, uniform glow. The diffuser is secured via a die cast aluminium threaded nut to a base made from a mix of polyamide plastic and fibreglass. The grey tone of the base sets up an appealing contrast to the shade.
The Glo Ball Basic Zero Lamp measures 16cm high and has a diameter of 19cm, with a base diameter of 7.5cm. The lamp comes with a 190cm long cable which includes a dimmer function. It requires a single halogen bulb and the appropriate lamp with the E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
