Castore Tavolo Table Lamp
The Castore Tavolo Table Lamp has been created by Huub Ubbens and Michele de Lucchi for the brand Artemide. It debuted to rave reviews in 2004 including from critics. It won its designers the Red Dot, Compasso d'Oro and Design Plus awards in the same year.
The Castore Tavolo Table Lamp has a sphere-shaped diffuser made of opalescent blown glass. It rests on a tapering stem made of thermoplastic resin that has a colour tone that is quite close to that of the diffuser. This gives the lamp a seamless, sleek silhouette. The stem can easily be removed and fitted back on for cleaning. The end of the stem goes into a circular base made of thermoplastic resin.
The Castore Tavolo Table Lamp is available in three sizes. The smallest one has a height of 31.4cm and a diameter of 14cm with a base that has a diameter of 13cm. The medium-sized one has a height of 55cm, a diameter of 25cm and the base has a diameter of 20cm. The largest one has a height of 66cm, a diameter of 35cm and its base has a diameter of 27cm. It works with an E14 socket.
