Eames Elephant
The Eames Elephant has been created by Charles and Ray Eames for the brand Vitra. This novel stool is a classic that beautifully marries form with function. American designer couple Charles and Ray Eames are recognised for their contribution to contemporary industrial design. The Eames Elephant stool was designed in the 1944 to 1945 period but was never produced for distribution. It is based on the prototype of a plywood toy elephant. Vitra have introduced it in a dyed-through polypropylene plastic version with a matte finish. It is durable and so can be used outdoors and indoors. The stool can be placed in a child's playroom or their bedroom. It can also be used outdoors such as on the beach or in the backyard without wear and tear.
The Eames Elephant stool comes in neutral colours as well as bright, fun colours. It has a rear height of 33 cm, a front height of 41.5cm, a length of 78.5cm and a depth of 35cm. It is easy to keep clean for safe use by young ones. It just needs to be wiped down with a damp cloth and sanitised with a spray of disinfectant.
