Koro Wastepaper Basket

The Koro Wastepaper Basket was created by Enzo Mari for the Italian design label Danese.

Bruno Danese and Jacqueline Vodoz launched their label in Milan in 1957. Since then it has been producing contemporary pieces that bring together the visual arts with photography and graphics. After studying and working in the decorative arts, Italian-born Enzo Mari moved into furniture design. A feature of his style is always an experimentation with shape and outline. Enzo Mari's work is exhibited in collections around the world and among his prestigious prizes is the Compasso d'Oro.

While wastepaper bins are often functional rather than stylish, the Koro Wastepaper Basket is a pleasing blend of form and function. The simple but elegant lines mean that the wastepaper basket fits with any design scheme both traditional and contemporary while its size at 26cm in diameter and 27cm in height is useful without being over large. The Koro Wastepaper Basket is available in four different colours and is made from high-grade polypropylene which gives it both stability and durability.
