The Cylinda Line sugar bowl was created in the year 1967 by world famous Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen in collaboration with the manufacturer Stelton. The cooperation was initiated by Stelton director Peter Holmblad and started as early as 1964. The basic idea was to create a collection of products of matte stainless steel, which work as individual items as well as a harmonious ensemble. The result was the Cylinda Line. The balanced and functional design made this product line very popular.
