Essence Beer Glass 48cl Set
The Essence Beer Glass Set was created by Alfredo Haberli for the Finnish glassware experts iittala. As with all of iittala's products, these serving glasses are a consummate example of how to create elegant, high-quality everyday items, and drinking an evening beer from them will always be a pleasure.
Haberli comes from a Swiss-Argentinian background, a dual identity that has given him a feel for sensuous design and the need for a beer every now and then. With the Essence collection, he set out to create a set of glasses that would be enjoyable to use and aesthetically superior to conventional beer glasses. With their slender rims, perfect proportions and well-balanced design, the items in the Essence Beer Glass Set achieve precisely that.
The set comprises of four beer glasses. Each one measures 13cm tall and is made from transparent glass. Haberli has chosen to incorporate lead-free rims, and instead of settling for thicker rims, he has managed to keep them incredibly slim, making the sensation of sipping beer much more pleasurable. At the same time, the necks are long enough to grasp firmly, and the bases stabilise each glass perfectly, even when they are completely full.
