Nook Ladder rack
The Nook Ladder rack has been created by Cecilia Xinyu Zhang for the brand Northern. Working out of her self-named studio in Norway, Chinese-born industrial designer Zhang imbues her designs with a multicultural perspective that she has gained from living in different countries and experiencing various cultures. She also likes to experiment, leading her to create unexampled designs that are brought to life with new production methods and materials. The Nook Ladder rack exemplifies her abilities and her approach to design. Rather than run parallel all the way, this ladder narrows towards the top. It has a frame made of steel rods and the unexpected whimsical detail of rungs that are bent at different places along the length of the ladder.
The Nook Ladder rack has a height of 190cm and a width of 68cm. It is ideal for use in a bathroom where it can hold towels as well as in a living room where it can hold throw blankets. It can also work as a valet stand in a bedroom or a coat rack in an entryway. Even leaning against a wall with nothing on it, it works as wall decor that makes an unusual and intriguing statement of style.
